High School Band Camp

The Stephen Collins Foster High School Band Camp is the original of all  the Foster Camps options. A Wind Ensemble and  Symphonic Band will perform an outdoor concert at EKU's breathtaking Van  Peursem Amphitheater on Saturday evening of the first week, as well as  the Camp Grand Finale Concert on Friday, the last day of camp in the EKU Center For the Arts. 

Students  will also have the opportunity to play in small ensembles throughout the  duration of camp, and with the Foster Camp Symphony Orchestra during  Week Two. Our fine instrumental faculty, student counselors and staff  make every effort to provide an educational experience with time for fun  and recreation.

We are now offering a one week option for those who are unable to attend both weeks of high school camp. While we would encourage everyone to attend both weeks we understand that often schedules and other variables will only permit you to attend one week and you may now choose either week to attend. 

If you are planning on attending the first week of high school band camp  you will need to register for the World Percussion Workshop. You will  still participate with the band during this time. If you plan on attending two weeks you must register for "World Perc/2nd Week HS Band". 

Afternoon activities are planned each evening for the campers.  Activities include, but are not limited to, tennis, soccer, basketball,  swimming, kickball, softball, movies, indoor/outdoor games, board games,  video game tournaments, etc. We offer several afternoon activities each  evening allowing students to choose their favorites.
